Everything began with a simple question: How can we do for for our kids?

In 2012, a group of local educators, business leaders, and community advocates came together around that very idea. They believed Stanislaus County deserved the same proven model that had transformed communities across the country for more than a century through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. What began as a vision quickly became a reality when Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County was incorporated and began laying the foundation for a new generation of youth development in our community.

The first Club programs launched in 2013 through partnerships with local schools, creating safe, engaging spaces where young people could continue learning long after the school day ended. Rather than building around a single clubhouse, the organization embraced a collaborative model, working alongside school districts to bring high-quality enrichment directly to the neighborhoods where Club Kids live and learn. That partnership-first approach allowed the organization to grow thoughtfully while remaining deeply connected to the communities it serves.

Over the years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County has expanded from those first after-school programs into a countywide network serving Club Kids across multiple school sites and dedicated Club locations. Along the way, the organization has introduced nationally recognized Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs, invested in caring mentors, strengthened partnerships with educators and community organizations, and created new opportunities for young people to discover their potential. Today, the organization continues to evolve through innovative initiatives, including California’s first Boys & Girls Club located on a community college campus, helping bridge the journey from childhood to college and career.

While the organization has grown, its purpose has remained remarkably consistent: to provide every Club Kid with the support, opportunities, and safe spaces they need to reach their full potential. Today, that commitment comes to life through four pillars of enrichment: LIVE, LEAD, LEARN, and LEVEL UP.

Every program, every partnership, and every investment is designed to help young people build confidence, develop character, explore new possibilities, and create Great Futures that strengthen not only individual lives, but the future of Stanislaus County itself.

OUR IMPACT

Each year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Stanislaus County participates in the National Youth Outcomes Survey (NYOI). This anonymous. independent survey helps us assess our work, identify areas to improve, and gather basic information about our members.
